Parisian Interiors ~

…make my heart beat!
The thought of an elegantly decorated Paris apartment brings thoughts of beauty and romance.
Rooms with high ceilings and fabulous architectural detail. Tall windows opening to a balcony of ornate wrought iron railing overlooking a quaint street or River Seine.
Parisian decorating style ranges through many periods, including Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical. Contemporary Parisian apartments incorporate art deco, Mediterranean, old world and cabaret influences.
Rich jewel colours intermingled with white and neutral tones… touches of gilt perfectly complement paneled walls.

On my lustlist is patterned chevron floors along with ornate, marble fireplaces.  They make me swoon every time.

Yards of lustrous velvet, damask and shimmering silk are often incorporated, along with beautifully upholstered furniture with dressmaker details and carved legs.

I love the venetian mirrors in Coco Chanel’s Paris apartment

My personal favourite ~ the chandelier!  Rows and rows of glimmering crystals to add glamour to any room…

Wishing you a lovely weekend!  xoxo, B
